Prospect Trade between Mariners and Padres

The Seattle Mariners trades their first round draft pick Lewis Brinson for San Diego Padres 4th round pick Hot Bat Trevor Story.


Our reasoning is we badly need a SS and believe that even if Reyes comes back Story will play somewhere.  Also admit we didn't draft great for the first few rounds and should have grabbed a SS

San Diego Receives:
Lewis Brinson

In the move we would like to move Christian Colon to the 40 man.

Padres are good. I hope I'm selling high on Story right now and he slows down a bit, but the Mariners could be striking at just the right time. I'm weak in the OF at the MLB level, and with Zimmer/Brinson, I at least have some hope for the future.
