Atlanta Braves trade:
17th rounder Gabriel Mejia, who can't find a home Brett Anderson, who shouldn't have a home because of his injury track record 1.5 M for the life of Anderson's contract
to Kansas City Royals for:
28th (832) 34th (1012) 40th (1192)
Rationale: I paid too much for Brett Anderson, because it was early in the auction and I didn't know what I was doing. Actually, I really didn't know what I was doing later in the auction either, but at least I wasn't overpaying for guys. I had just picked up Mejia as a throw in in the Pujols/Smith deal, when Ryan reached out to me about him. Therefore, I found a way to remove Anderson's contracts from my team and not break the bank. Who knows what I'll land with the draft picks, but I definitely could use more depth.

**Brett Anderson SP LAD 4,000,000 2020 (1,500,000 per year covered)**
Mejia is a guy I own in multiple other leaves and love the upside. For some stupid reason I had left him lower down my draft board than I anticipated and when his name came off the board, I was pissed at myself. I have him now though and that's what matters. Maybe an overpay in picks for him, but Anderson at 2.5M/yr is in reality not that bad. He's a decent back end starter and 2.5M is easily within my cap space (which I left plenty of after the draft
