To the League
As of today since we have been abandoned by Justin, Fantrax support has transferred over commish priviliges to me. A lot of owners here have put a considerable amount of time building their teams and it would be a shame to lose all that. Hopefully we can continue on and get this league back to where everyone thought it was heading during the pre-season. The League check-in that has been open for the past week has had 22 of the 30 owners check-in so that is somewhat encouraging
There has been a few comments about how people would like to see things change here in the future, I tend to agree with most of them. my thoughts for now are that all players should be listed on Fantrax including minor league players. If nobody objects I am going to work on entering them all. This will take some time but will be worth it in the long run and everyone will be able to see at any one time who is unowned and available for both free agency and future minor league drafts.
I have gone through and processed all the roster moves, trades and free agent signings that have been posted here over the last month. I sure there are many more moves that owners just gave up trying to make. If everyone could post what further moves they would like I will process those as well for now. Once we have things settled so that all the teams rosters I would like to open up the controls so that individual owners can make their own moves on Fantrax after first posting the move on Proboards.
As for commish duties, I can continue as acting commissioner for the the foreseeable future but I'm not sure I want to be the long term commish going into next season.
Let's all work to make this league great again

Huzzah!
Thanks for all the work. I spoke with Justin and he said he didn't mean to get lost/behind so much but has just been overwhelmingly busy.
Thanks for stepping in

Should we add our MiLB guys ourselves to make life easier?

So going forward, with all guys being added to Fantrax rosters soon, we still need a semblance of 25 man and 40 man rosters. So how are we going to go about that? And what's the plan with the spreadsheet, since Justin is the only one with full access? Since that includes all contract info and draft pick info

I'm not sure how to work out the 40 man roster situation and differentiate the extra 15 guys from prospect minor leaguers. My opinion would be open up the rosters to 40 man and the starting lineups to 25 man and restrict the IR to only guys on the 60 day DL. That is the set-up for other leagues I play in.
I will open up the adding of milb guys to everyone once we can sort out the 25/40 man issue.
Tampa Bay (Brad) helped Justin set things up on Fantrax originally so I have added him as a commish to help move things along

A suggestion on the 25/40 man roster scenario. One league I'm in that has a huge minor league system. 233 man rosters has the following set up
Each team has its full 25 man roster on the regular team as we do now. Each person on the 40 man roster is in the minor leagues of that regular roster. Which allows movement between the 25 man and 40 man to be controlled by each individual owner. To be accompanied by a post here on proboards as well.
We then have an entire separate roster set up...so the league looks like it has 60 teams...with all of our minor league players on it. At first the set up looked funny to me, but it works out great. The teams are named just like the real team, just with ZZZ added in front of the name to show it is the minor league roster.
Hopefully this explanation makes sense and I can try to explain better if it doesn't. Rushing to get to my first interview of 9 today so I wanted to get this post in.

I was wondering if you could do this on Fantrax. Maybe we could create the 30 affiliated AAA teams to hold the non 40-man Milbers. Thanks for posting. I wonder, as a general question, how many of us have experience with salary cap management similar to how it has been established in this league? My thought is to change things as little as possible as we move forward but I'm not clear on just what type of headache (i.e. how much time it would take to maintain) this leagues salary cap rules represent.
